Colon Cancer Death

Comments Off

Researchers released today that vitamin D can reduce colon cancer death. However, researchers found no link between vitamin D and the risk of dying from other types of cancer.

Colorectal cancer kills about 50,000 people annually in the United States alone.

The researchers said previous research showed that vitamin D may have characteristics that could protect against cancer such as reducing tumor growth and inducing cancer cell death.

Health professionals say that the public should not run out and consume large quantities of vitamin D because the effects both adverse and beneficial need more research.
